What's your business, and who are your customers?

I started my business in 1994 to create modern jewelry. I saw very little of it in the American marketplace, and I see the value of timeless designs. Simple jewelry designs are often the best in the way that they transition from day to evening and from generation to generation.

Tell us about yourself

I began my career in NYC as a corporate interior designer, and I wanted to do something more creative that allowed me more freedom than a corporate job.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment has been staying in business for twenty-eight years through recessions, changing styles, and a pandemic.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Making decisions on where it is important to invest both money and time in your business is difficult.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Learn about your competition. Do something unique in your market. Have several sales avenues operating at the same time, wholesale, retail, and online.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

If something fails, try to figure out why and if it is worth doing again differently.
